Soil: Tolerates a variety, including soggy soil.

Water: Medium to high. Although drought tolerant, it likes moist soil. Can be grown where more water is used.

Sun: Full sun to full shade.

Pruning: Rake out dead stalks to freshen. Can be sheared to ground in winter to renew, but takes time to regrow.
