Size: 6 ft. high and wide.

Flowers: Tiny white flowers on stems, summer ; small narrow light gray leaves to 2 in.

Uses: Background, color and shape accent, screen, water gardens.

Wildlife: Birds use young twigs for nests.

Soil: Well-drained; native to sides of streams.

Water: Low to medium.

Sun: Full sun to some shade.

Pruning: Prune to encourage bushiness; severely cut back after winter to stimulate blooms. Responds well to creative shaping.

Notes: Found along rivers and waterways in South Africa. Hardy to 15° F.
