Uses: Borders, ground cover, near ponds, beach gardens, deep containers, rock gardens, in heat. Fire resistive.
Wildlife: Nectar for butterflies and hummingbirds. Deer resistant.
Soil: Tolerates a variety.
Water: Low supplemental water; needs a little more inland.
Sun: Full sun to some shade; avoid extreme heat inland.
Pruning: Trim dead blooms every two months to prolong blooming period.

Notes: Species is native to coastal sand dunes and bluffs from Oregon to southern California. Hardy to -5° F.
