Size: 3 ft. high, 5 ft. wide.

Flowers: Sends up 15 to 40 ft. flower stalk after approx. 15 years. Brilliant yellow flowers in clusters. Leaves to 3 ft., sword-shaped, with toothed edges.

Uses: Large succulent gardens, desert gardens. Fire resistive.

Wildlife: Attracts bees and butterflies. Deer resistive.

Soil: Well-drained.

Water: Little.

Sun: Full sun.

Pruning: Remove dead leaves.

Pests & Diseases: (None found.)

Notes: Rare and endangered plant. Blooms once, then dies back to suckers which form replacement plants. Aloes, on the other hand, generally bloom every year. Hardy to 25° F.
