Grow Access & create Solid ground
Thanks to a generous grant from the Harold J. Miossi Charitable Trust, the walkways and patios surrounding the Education Center are now paved providing greater access to the Oak Glen Pavilion, Children's Garden, restrooms, Gift Shop, and Garden offices.
But that’s not all! Pathways throughout the Garden are still difficult to traverse. We need additional funds to create beautiful and universally-accessible walkways and outdoor spaces.
By supporting this project, you help improve the experience and access for all visitors.
Will you help? A gift of $250 will purchase a 6” x 6” commemorative tile, and a gift of $500 will purchase an 8” x 8” tile. Donors can personalize their tiles with their own text and choose from a selection of nature-themed logos. Businesses and organizations have the option of including their pre-approved logos. Become a sustaining member of the Perennial Guild
Focused on sustaining the roots of the Garden, the Perennial Guild is the newest membership level for top donors. Each Perennial Guild member has committed to give at least $1,000 per year for the next three years in cash donations to support Garden operations. The Western Monarch is still at a 99% decline since the 1990s. Help us support our monarch populations and teach our visitors about their important migration patterns with new educational panels that will be installed throughout the garden!
The San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden is creating a new garden space that is useful for teaching the natural and cultural history of our region while restoring the natural landscape. This multi-year project will provide the community with a new garden that celebrates local space, traditional uses of native plants, and the cultures that tend and use these plants.
We estimate this project to cost around $10,000. We are looking for and appreciate any amount of support we can receive, no matter the size. The Garden greatly appreciates our sponsors, and provides a variety of recognition levels for donations above a minimum threshold. Please designate “Weaver’s Garden” on the donation form. If a monetary donation is not possible, we would love to hear how you would like to get involved.
