Type: Perennial

Size: 3 ft. high and wide.

Flowers: Large deep pink flowers, spring to fall; fine-cut large leaves. Beaklike fruit gives common name.

Uses: Rock garden, border, ground cover. Fire resistive.

Wildlife: Deer resistant.

Soil: Well-drained.

Water: Needs some summer water; otherwise more drought tolerant than most geraniums.

Sun: Full sun; afternoon shade in heat

Pruning: Cut to ground every 2 to 3 years to keep neat.

Notes: Self-seeds; can be invasive. Five flower petals all look alike; pelargonium flowers have two petals pointing in one direction and three pointing in opposite direction. Hardy to 20° F.
